How to Safely Retrieve Your Surprise Pendant from Our Candles
One of the most exciting features of our candles is the hidden jewelry surprise inside each one. These pendants are a special treat, but it’s important to retrieve them safely to ensure you can enjoy both the candle and the jewelry without any issues. Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to safely remove your pendant. For candle safety instructions, please check out our most recent safety blog post for details! Candle Safety 101

1. Burn the Candle Until the Pendant is Exposed
To safely retrieve the pendant, burn the candle as you normally would for between 2-4 hours. 4 Hours Maximum. The pendant is carefully placed within the wax and will gradually be revealed as the candle burns down. Do not attempt to dig out the pendant prematurely, as this could damage both the candle and the jewelry.

2. Extinguish the Flame Before Removal
Once the pendant is exposed, it’s important to extinguish the flame before attempting to remove the pendant. Putting out the candle will allow you to safely handle the wax and pendant without the risk of burns from an open flame.

3. Use a Pair of Tweezers or Tongs
After the flame is extinguished, and while the wax is still warm, use a pair of tweezers or tongs to gently lift the pendant out of the candle. This will help you avoid burns and keep the pendant clean.

4. Allow the Pendant to Cool
Place the pendant on a heat-resistant surface and allow it to cool completely. The pendant may be warm to the touch for a few minutes, so give it time to reach room temperature before handling.

5. Clean Off Any Remaining Wax
Once the pendant has cooled, there may be some wax residue on it. You can easily clean this off by gently wiping the pendant with a soft cloth. If necessary, use some rubbing alcohol to remove any extra wax, then wash it with warm water and soap - drying it well afterwards.
6. Enjoy Your New Jewelry!
Add a cord or chain of choice and your pendant is now ready to wear! Each piece is made from high-quality stainless steel and features designs inspired by witchy or new age themes. Whether you wear it yourself or give it as a gift, your pendant is a beautiful keepsake from your candle experience.
