Rune: Laguz - PictureWitchDesigns.ca

Aett: Tyr

Meaning: “Water” or "Flow"

Intuition, Desire, Flow, Potential, Unconsciousness, Femininity & Cleansing.

The work with Laguz is like working with water. She shows us the importance of deep understanding and how to go with the flow.

She helps to represent the ability to let loose, instead of stagnating and drowning in negativity.

Have you stopped moving in life? Come to a halt from indecision? It’s time to meditate, look inwards, to craft or create something to get that energy flowing again, to unblock yourself.

Follow your instincts, feel those emotions and show them freely.

Laguz helps to improve your unconscious mind, allowing that ‘gut feeling’ to become more accurate for you in life.

The Elder Futhark Runes are some of the oldest known alphabets clearly documented and currently known to mankind. They were often carved into wood and stone and were used to commemorate ancestors and mark the graves of heroes, but they were also used to communicate. Runes could be cast and translated to figure out the current situation at present or could be used to peek into the future much like Tarot. They could be used to communicate with the natural and supernatural worlds and can even be used as symbols of protection, success, and more.

The Elder Futhark has 24 runes, and are the ones used with these beautiful charms you can collect with our RuneFizzies Bathbombs.

In Rune Reading, the runes are separated into 3 sets of eight runes based off the energies that connect Earth and Heaven, and are represented by three gods: Tyr, Heimdall, and Freya. These gods have some fascinating stories that weave in and out of the more well-known stories of Norse gods such as Odin, Thor and Loki. Tyr is the Warrior, Heimdall is the Watcher and Freya is the Goddess.

Tyr’s Aett – is all about the physical and is known for his fierceness and physical strengths and so Tyr’s eight runes represent various forms of Confidence.

Heimdall’s Aett – represents Clarity. They are no less powerful than Tyr’s Aett, and are often found when looking outwards in the distance both physically and metaphysically. These are rune often found when looking for the future or for clarity in a situation.

Freya’s Aett – Women especially looked to Freya for assistance in matters of fertility and heart as well as one associated with death. This goddess would often go to battlefields and gather the bravest souls of the fallen in order to guide them to heaven where she would care for them and their loved ones for eternity. Her Aett represent love and relationships both platonic and amorous.

Our RuneFizzies Bathbombs are designed to bring a bit of fun to the bath experience, and depending on how you look at the explanation of the rune you receive, you may find some interesting information that correlates to your own life, so feel free to relax and enjoy!
